About Me

I'm a frontend developer with a deep passion for building web experiences that are fast, beautiful, and accessible to everyone. I specialise in React-based architectures, pairing modern JavaScript with clean, scalable Sass.

My work spans the full stack, from extendable UI components through to headless CMS integrations with Optimizely, and backend-connected experiences powered by C# and .NET. I treat accessibility as a first-class requirement, not an afterthought and search for solutions to real problems with data backed analytics.

American Academy of Pediatrics

Four years of ongoing frontend development for the AAP. I was maintaining and extending a large-scale Optimizely platform, building a fully new ecommerce integration into the Optimizley core website. Work spanned component library growth, performance improvements, major version upgrades, accessibility audits, and feature development for one of the leading pediatric health organisations in the US.

How I am using AI

AI has been a great tool for the development process and also various intelligent UI features. With models consistently improving, building components and scaffolding has never been easier. Boilerplate and prototyping are benefiting drastically from the pacing that AI development provides. In contrast, there has been a large uptick in the importance of quality assurance, both on the code side and content. I am excited about integrating LLM into tools and features that users are excited for. I think it is particularly suited for search, summarization tasks, recommendations, tooling and countless other tasks.

AI doesn't replace thoughtful engineering. I combine strong fundamentals in React, accessibility, and system design with AI capabilities. I believe it is important to maintain a high standard of quality assurance and understanding of code before it is shipped.

Every component is built with meaningful HTML elements: headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers and search engines understand the content structure.

Colour contrast, text sizing, and interactive target sizes all meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements across every project.

Appropriate ARIA labels, live regions, and roles are applied where native HTML semantics fall short, ensuring assistive technologies can interpret dynamic UI.
